cross-cultural exchange

 cross-cultural exchange

The other day,

34 Chinese people had the opportunity to experience the tea ceremony.

First of all, we explained the history of the tea ceremony.

Tea originally came from China in the 12th century,

and in the 16th century

Sen no Rikyu created the system of the tea ceremony as we know it today.

Next, the participants watched the tea proceedure

and drank matcha with Japanese sweets.

Afterwards, they also had the chance to try their hand

at making matcha themselves.

During the Q&A session,

the participants asked many questions

such as how to make matcha

and the difference between matcha and sencha.

We were convinced that the cross-cultural exchange had deepened.
